GM CEO Akerson auctions 1958 Chevrolet Corvette for charity

General Motors CEO Dan Akerson is auctioning off his 1958 Regal turquoise Chevrolet Corvette for Habitat for Humanity Detroit. The proceeds will go to rebuild the Morningside Commons area of the lower east side of the city. Interested buyers can get a preview of the car during the Woodward Dream Cruise.

Porsche Cayman GTS and Boxster GTS variants are expected to be unveiled at the 2014 Beijing Motor Show this year, before the upgraded versions of the German firm’s two-seater coupe and convertible models go on sale in April. According to reports, development work on both cars is now almost complete, with both vehicles gaining a power increase and revised styling over existing Cayman and Boxster models (pictured). We’ve already had the new Discovery Sport out testing, a good look at the Sport’s interior and, of course, the initial review of the Discovery Vision Concept that previewed the new Disco Sport. But now, ahead of a debut in a week or two, we get the Discovery Sport revealed early thanks to a photo of a couple of die cast models of the new Disco.
